Full Metal Panic Live Action! Zac Efron?!! submitted by Syphin

So Mandalay Pictures has acquired rights to Full Metal Panic (a Japanese manga series that blends action, comedy and high school romance) and will develop a big-screen version of it.

Furthermore there are talks that Zac Efron will play Sousuke Sagara, a Japanese raised as a Muslim, multilingual anti-terrorist agent that carriers a gun to school (not a message the US would want to promote) who is so badass he puts Rambo to shame.

Upon learning this I shook my head in despair thinking HELL NO!.

Now the problem I have is, I don't think Efron will do Sousuke any justice by playing the role if he indeed does play Sousuke...
Sousuke's character is too different and complex of a role for Efron to play...

As for the formula that will be used to create the film...I wonder...

Why do I have a feeling it will be like Dragon Ball Evolution?
